Thanks Kraut, Advice very much appreciated. I recon it will be Oberstaufen, Obersdorf, then to the Mosel.

For what it's worth I live in Kent and ride quite a lot in France, Belgium etc. My bike has the D&D Fat Cat 2 into 1 exhaust. Believe me its loud!

Have never had a problem with the French Police - but definitely do not twist your wrist when they are around

Actually off to France (Honfleur) this weekend and will let you know if anything happens.
