I just took my bike in to have my buddy at the dealer flash the ECM to activate my fan. I took my TTS tuner with me just in case. He found that the TTS had locked him out from using his Digitech tool to perform this service and had to utilize my tuner to turn the fan operation on. He said that option was kind of buried in there so maybe someone that is more familiar with the TTS operation could enlighten the rest of the folks here that have done this upgrade and use the TTS system on how to accomplish this. The good thing is for those of us that are utilizing TTS is that this function can be done at home and with no additional cost!

Hope this helps

I replaced the stock oil cooler with the oil cooler with fan kit on my 2017 Road King before I took delivery of the bike. I believe the cooler with fan was about 300 bucks. Granted this was in July 2017 before just the fan was available. I was however able to sell my stock oil cooler on ebay for 200 bucks, so it was a good overall net investment. Steve at Fullsac was saying they were seeing 40 degree cooler oil temps with the fan cooled unit and highly recommended going with it.

Thanks to this thread I installed the fan/shroud on my 18' RG CVO today.

It took me in total 20 minutes to install.

I still need to get the bike flashed, but for essentially $145 and 20 minutes time, I think this is a must have upgrade.

Thanks to all for the part# and the tutorial.

Are the new shrouds that come with the kit color matched?

Same as your current shroud. This goes on the back side of your oil cooler and is not seen.

So what about the 19s? Did Harley add the fan or do you still need to DIY?

New here with a 2019 CVO Road Glide (Mako Shark Fade). Amazing bike! It's my third Harley (Fatboy & Street Glide).

I just installed the fan assisted oil cooler on my CVO. It fit perfectly and the power plug was right behind the fan. I was concerned about the fang spoiler, but everything fit.

Tomorrow, I am doing the 1k service at my local dealer and I will have the fan enabled. In my opinion, it is one of the best improvements for the bike. HD should have included this cooler on all oil cooled bikes.

Boom23 what part number did you use for your 19?  Same as Jerry advised?  Did you order just the fan and shroud or the entire kit?  I have a 19 RG coming and trying to get all accessories ordered for when the bike arrives.  My dealer advised the 19's have a different part number for the oil cooling rad.  I asked him to order the fan and shroud part number as mentioned in this form topic and he would not guarantee fitment.
