I removed the stock speakers, amp, and head unit with the CB, XM, and iPod modules from my '13 CVO Ultra and replaced everything with after market units from Biketronics. I planned on selling the stock HD parts, but am wondering if it would be better to keep them in case I sell the bike down the road.
Would it be wise to keep the parts or just sell them? For myself, I won't put any of the stock stuff back in. If I sell, what would be a fair price?

If it was me I would keep them and return the bike to stock when I sold it. You won't get half of what you paid for the bike tropics unit when you sell it. And the stock equipment will come in handy if you have problems with the aftermarket setup.

I would hang onto that stuff also.. Put the bike back to stock when it comes time to sell or trade it in.,,you won't get anymore when you do.. Stuart

If you've got a wife that will allow you to keep/store all the stock stuff, by all means do it. :) har. spyder

Saving the stuff for some later use in the same bike? Making the assumption that the new parts you've installed might fail in a short enough time to make that a wise choice (automotive head units in bikes don't have a reputation for being long lived)? Going to have the bike a while?
If all the above are yes it makes sense to keep the old stuff. If not sell the old gear and recoup some cash. After all, the stuff won't fit in the next bike since everything changed with the 14s.

Technology marches forward as you can see from the '14 bikes. Unless you foresee changing bikes very soon and using your upgraded parts, sell the stock stuff. More likely than not, by the the time you change bikes, the aftermarket parts available will have changed and you'll want those for the new bike.
