Thanks for the pic, looks nice. [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] Was wondering if you tried using the clutch bracket mount before you used the mount you did? Was there any reason to use one over the other (other then personal preference)? TIA

Very cool.  Thanks for initial reports.  If you don't mind.......

At some time when it's convenient could you snap a pic of the Zumo side by side with the 2720.  I've got a 2620 and I bet anyone with a 26XX/27XX/28XX would love to see a side by side to see what the differences in screen size and overall size are.

Also.....  Do the docs suggest that the Bluetooth would share two devices at the same time?  I'm wondering if it would link to the phone and a Bluetooth helmet at the same time and pass the data streams between them?

Don, I recall reading in the owner's manual that it was capable of linking to multiple devices.

2820 size:
5.6x3.2x2 Overall
3.3x1.7  Screen

Zumo
4.8x3.9x1.6 Overall
2.8x2.1  Screen

The Zumo is more "square"...I can see advantages/disadvantages to both designs.  One advantage for the Zumo is the temporary battery power when it loses external power.

One large question I cannot find an answer to on the Garmin site is how many maps the Zumo can hold since it has the SD card expansion slot.  The 2820 holds all of North America without loading any other maps into memory.  I have the 276CX hand held unit with SD slots...it is great, but will only hold limited amounts of data in permanent memory, the rest comes off the card, and depending on card size, one has to do "corridors" of maps to locations.  If you were traveling from here to California, it would require choosing the maps surrounding the planned roads, rather than just picking the route and loading it, as in the 2820....depending of course on card size.  The solution of course is mulitple cards.

Anyone know?

Looks pretty nice but I understand they are a little pricey.  I'm currently thinking of moving up to one from my Quest.  The Zumo is the one that was mainly designed for motorcycles isn't it?  I know they have 2 small ones out now.  I guess I'll go look at their site.

Enjoy it.

The Zumo Comes pre-loaded with all of North america just like the 2720/30.  the SD chart as I understand it really is not intended for maps but for zumo users to share routes and also to hold more POIs, MP3s etc....

Thanks Bill.  I'd forgotten that you or someone had mentioned the manual was up at Garmin's site.  Should've looked it up myself.  Appreciate the help  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif] .

The XM radio plays wireless to the radio......right?  Or do you need to connect the 3.5 cable for this?

Shark Bait,  Thanks for the pics.  I've been waiting for the first pics.  Looks great! [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]  Have you noticed any negatives? On the mount, can the unit be mounted on the right side also? Is it easy to remove when you are parked?  Finally, what was the price you ended up paying?  Thanks for the help, looks like you've got an awesome looking bike from the pics, and welcome to the site.
