my Road King CVO 2013 iPod will at random go to full volume, the hand controls will not work unable to turn down music or change the song. I have to stop shut off the bike unplug iPod and keep riding. It is hard to duplicate at the shop since it will randomly do this. Help, i think its a computer issue, dealership unwilling to honor warranty or give me a loaner, until it is replicated at the shop. I recently had the shop put LED lights in turn signals and  a Daymaker headlamp in with a line stabilizer. Any suggestions I would really appreciate the help.

Just a thought, are you sure its the bike and not the iPod? A couple of weeks ago, my controls stopped working my iPod. No sound or anything. All other radio controls and functions worked. IPod even worked when not hooked up to the bike. Decide to change out my iPod since I have a couple. Hooked the second iPod up and the controls worked. Now I just have to figure out why the first one quit.

in that vein, have you tried doing a reset on the ipod?  depending on the type of ipod you have, there are different ways to do this.  do a google search for ipod reset for your specific model

Switched iPod so far so good going to reset original iPod thanks for the suggestions .
Oh by the way I love my CVO road king just rides like a dream !

Glad that worked for you, too bad the dealer had your bike so long. I need to try and reset mine to see if that works also. After I switched out for the new one. I just put the old one in the tour pack and kind a forgot about it until I saw your post.

Out for an evening ride sound fluxuated and then blasted to max volume
Hand controls not working had to pull over and unplug
Any other suggestions?
Could the led line stabilizer need adjustment?

Dealership is now consulting with Harley and I called Custom Dynamics to see if they had any insight.
I changed the iPod, adjusted the line stabilizer, still have random max volume with cut off of controls.
I left a message with Iron Cross Audio for their insight as well.
If you guys think of anyone or any other ideas please let me know, I would appreciate a resolution to this quite annoying problem.

meeting on monday going to remove cable for iPod controls see if i can isolate the problem, oh Harley mentioned my warranty just expired , how convenient for them.

If the issue was reported  and documented prior to the  warranty  expiration date then the repairs should be covered.

Unfortunately  I've got  nothing to  add  that might help fix the problem except that the load equalizer  should have nothing to do with the bar controls  acting goofy. All it does is basically add resistance to the turn signal circuit so the ECM/BCM will think you still have the incandescent bulbs installed.

And how convenient for you that this is an ongoing issue and warranty claim that was initiated before that expiration.  Don't let the bastards bully you.
