Tourpak power lock quit working
« on: August 17, 2015, 10:41:54 PM »

Like the title says, my tourpak power lock quit working this weekend. Saddlebag and fork locks works fine. I haven't had the tourpak wiring disconnected, in fact I haven't touch it at all. I did have the main fuse out when I was installing my Jagg oil cooler the other day but I don't know how that would affect anything as I've had it out in the past without this problem. I looked but didn't see a power lock fuse in the fuse box, might there be an inline fuse? I haven't dug into it yet and I'm looking for any pointers that may speed the troubleshooting process along.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Mine did the same recently but after installing tour pak extenders. It was the plug to the tour pak that had come partially apart. Just pushed it back together and tourpak lock was working again.

To follow up -

You were right ptnlinda. I got a chance this evening to check out the TP lock and found the plug was completely disconnected. I'm not sure how or why because I haven't had the TP liner out or anything but that was the problem. Everything is working the way it should now.

I'm thinking probably a combination of all three.......

sorta like..... get 'er rolling in reverse......put 'er in a first gear......twist the throttle....loft the front end......tour pack plug comes loose   ;)
