XM radio mount
« on: September 05, 2006, 04:11:18 PM »

Any ideas on mounting the Roady XT xm radio?  [smiley=nixweiss.gif] I mounted in on the SEEG fairing but the vibration causes the radio to loosen from it's cradle and hence lose power.  I contacted Steve at Hoon Hardware regarding his Roady Holder (mounts on the brake reservoir) but he said the same thing would happen.  I found a temporary solution....rubber bands but it looks like crap.  :-/ The velcro option doesn't work because it's too thick.  Any help would be appreciated! Thanks Ace,
their web site does not offer a mount for the Roady XT version (yet?).  :'(  I'll give them a call.

Look here?: http://www.ram-mount.com/mp3_mount/xmradio_delphi.htm

I used a round base for the back of the radio mount, a short extention and a diamond shaped mount for the fairing.

It's very stable and adjustable.
