Hey Guy's,

My buddy just bought a 2013 RK CVO. The audio really need an upgrade. Is there a way of upgrading without gutting the original system and wiring?

Curious as to why he thinks the audio really needs an upgrade?  I can hear mine fine at any speed, and it's clear sounding. I have a standard RK windscreen, which may help some, and I know having the sound turned up on the iPod is important.

I found a kit that lets you remove the 5x7 rear speakers and install 6x9's in the 5x7 lids. It's kinda pricey but cheaper than getting new lids and painting them. Here's a link:

i'm looking to upgrade, stock system is fine, but want better at hwy speeds, soundz and biketronics have nice equipment, i've called them, just waiting to talk to the experts for some extra info. the arc audio amp seems gr8 and read all good bout the equipment.

Took mine to an audio shop in town and to replace all speakers with quality ones and to add a 8" low profile sub and additional 200 watt amp plus all the custom install would run $2500 but it sounds awesome. I think that is next on my list. The stock unit sounds good but drowns out over 55. Plus the pipes I'm running the bike is loud so it should fix my problems.
