Four pin Deutsch connector?  If so it's the accessory connector.

No, its a box that has Delphi on it and it says do not relocate. On it.  Box about 2" square.

When you say under the seat do you mean literally beneath it.  To the right of and behind the battery?  When I first read your question I was thinking in the hole in front of the battery.

If you're speaking to the module to the right of and behind the battery that is the TSM (Turn Signal Module) or the TSSM (Turn Signal and Security Module for bikes with an alarm system).  TSSM and TSM are the same size and shape so you'll only identify them externally by the part number.  If you could see the whole thing behind the battery rather than just the top above the frame it would look like this:

But sticking up above the frame you only see top:

Ok.  That's it.  Thanks.  I saw Delphi and was worried I had Delphi fi.  Ha ha.

Good deal. That was a change from 2000 to 2001 also.  In 2000 a turn signal cancelling module was still in the hole up in front of the battery and the lean angle sensor was to the left of and behind the battery as a small separate piece.  If you added the alarm system both parts went away in favor of the TSSM you're seeing on your bike.  In 01 Harley started using the TSM you're seeing to replace both (except on the SERG that had the alarms system stock so got the TSSM).

Yeah, that's what I meant.  Crap like that happens when you're typing on the phone in a McDonalds trying to eat french fries at the same time....  Just wondered if the engine had gotten it's cam bearings and tensioners refreshed at sometime in its life.

The derby covers?  Sorry but don't have a spare.  One on each bike is all I've ever been able to muster.  Or the SERG bike covers?  If the bike covers I no longer have a spare.  Couple months back one of the brethren here told me a tale of woe that ended in the accidental ruin of his.  I was feeling generous and he'd done me a favor or three before so I paid it forward with a bike cover.

the bike cover is what I was talking about.  I would love to have one.  If you know of one let me know.

Yeah,  I had the full screamin eagle orange aluminium system put in last fall.

The derby cover I have found and I am going to jump on that asap too!...

My bike has ALOT of miles on it,  So Im expecting to do alot of maintenence this year.  I am also in the process of opening a small engine shop as well as powdercoating and painting as well.  I will work on my bikes in my down time.  I can't wait to start this new venture.

Good fortune with the new shop and hope the SERG is a great bike for you.  It's a good bet it will be though.  Much more reliable machines then than some of the more current iterations and they're damned good looking bikes too.  Enjoy :2vrolijk_21: .

thanks.  I love the older bikes more than the newer ones.  But I love 19-21" front wheels on my bikes.  I love anything with two wheels however.  My harley's stable mates include a kawasaki versys adv, crf 230,  and soon to be aquiring a sport bike of some sort.
