   Kury 24 D,surface heads to around 10.3-10.5-1

   Gets no better than this....will require a good pipe

 
I did the above build, and several more like it. The exhaust system plays a big part in it.
I use the stock flat top pistons, and set the compression at 10.20:1.
Here's the std sheet as well.  ::)

John did you do any head work on this build other than cut the heads?

Don,
I find valve seats are all over the board. Some good, some poor. Needs to be addressed. Short turn, usually on the front exhaust needs to be looked at also.  ;)
