If anyone can help. planning next summers trip. 1 of 3 rides will take us from michigan to southern california. i called a couple of transport companies and they said it may take anywhere between 2 weeks and a month to get our bikes back to michigan? our trip is for june, michigan summers are short enough without the possibility of losing your bike for 2-4 weeks. we have 10 bikes and we are looking for a 1 way haul to michigan. would love to find a private carrier and pay the extra $$

Try "U Ship" I have never used this company but it came recomended when I wanted to ship my Mach 1.

FYI,
USHIP. I called them, their central hub is in Milwaulkee Wi. They said it would take 3-4 weeks to get our bikes back from Southern California. They stated that the bikes would go from SOCAL to Milwaukee, change trucks and then deliver to Michigan.

There is another option
You can call a freight forwarder and have them move them arrange for a tractor trailer (air ride). Load them in a warehouse that is dock high and has a ground level entrance. You can make sure they are tied down good and it is all yours....team drivers would take 3 days and a single driver 4-5 days
Right now plan on about $6500.00 or better....so that would be like $650 bucks per bike

thats cheap. we were willing to pay $8000 if we could find a carrier that would meet us at the end of the trip, load the bikes and head to michigan and get there 4 days later?

48103 in Michigan, haven't figured out exactly where in SOCAL yet. I have to find either a Harley Store or one of my companies dealerships. San Diego area for sure though.
