Title: 16" apes on 2014 SERK - need advice
Post by: NMLazz on September 19, 2015, 12:18:32 AM
I'm looking at Wild1 apes for my bike and could use some of your feedback on where you ordered your clutch and brake lines and what length you used. Dealer wants 12 hours for the job, so considering doing the job myself.

Thanks!

12 hours for Road King bars is ridiculous. They are not that bad of a job. Wild Ones web site has a row of tabs on the left side of the home page. One of the tabs is labeled Site Links. Click Site Links, then click the tab labeled Cable Kits. It will take you to HD Bike Parts. I have used there kits several times and have always been very happy with there service and the quality of there parts are as good or better than OEM. Don't be intimidated by the job. Have a manual handy, all the known parts you need, a quart of DOT 4 brake fluid, a turkey injector syringe with a foot or two of fuel or vacuum line to back bleed the brakes and clutch. You will become more familiar with your bike & be glad you took the job on yourself.
 ENJOY!
