Hate to disagree but my 15 RGCVO is much cooler in all riding than my 09 SERG with Fulsac pipe, inserts and TTS. I also live in SW Florida and ride during the day, and it has been a hot summer. Just no comparison between the heat from rear cylinder on 09 vs 15, 15 is just a much more comfortable (temp wise) than the 09 and the 15 only has a set of 1.75" fulsac inserts with a FP3, still has the cat intact as well.

someone may have already suggested it, but what you are describing screams "catalytic converter" to me.  call me crazy, but they operate in the 600-1000* range.  heat radiates up from behind the heat shield.  If you've already removed the cat, ignore my comment please.

That's exactly what the service manager said his opinion was, that when the temps are up the wet heads are actually hotter the late model air cooled only. Isn't that interesting!

I am curious what a cam change will do.

don't forget that they bumped the compression on the 110" from (i think) 9.3 to 10.1 (with the wet heads)? someone can chime in if i'm off on my numbers.  the compression increase alone will heat you up quickly at a stand-still.  although, i keep the EITMS turned on, and even in 95* weather in 15min of standstill traffic, the heat seems to be better than my 04 softtail (TC88).  Granted EITMS runs pretty much ALL the time, but it seems to work...
