Just spoke with the local HD dealership here and they never heard of Maingate, they only order through the factory. Or I might have just spoken with the village idiot.lol So, if I believe him does that make me the apprentice to the village idiot?lol  :bananarock:

Bikerman,

You must have talked to the village idiot LOL. My wife works at a HD dealership and gave me the story. Maingate is the supplier of the SE merchandice, but dealers have to purchace certain quantities of each item (IE no special ordering just one of something)

OK, now can anyone point me at a dealer that stocks this stuff? HoT here in CA doesn't have squat for patches / decals etc. and I'd gladly pay shipping etc. I hate to think I have to take the vector art to an embroidery shop and make my own.

geez, ya think they'd throw one in along the gold key and fancy cover for what we pay for the scoots themselves,,,

I have a Screamin Eagle leather jacket as do many other site members. It doesn't say performance parts under the logo. Evidently the factory understand the why of this issue

B B
How about a picture of the SE jacket.

Yes it is, but don't order it without seeing it.
If I am not mistaken, the whole section between the orange piping zips out to be a ventilated jacket.

There is a similar jacket with the bar & shield across the back that is not a zip out that I would like to get, but the moco SE patch is not quite big enough to cover the jacket embroidery.

yes its current stock,  part number 98281_07VM i just bought mine b4 xmas at a stealer sale. I dont like the cuffs close up with velcro, i would have prefered a sleeve zipper

Yes, the whole section between the orange piping zips out to be a ventilated jacket.

Jacket also comes with a inner water proof liner which can zip out and fold up into a bag that is attached inside on the back

I have that jacket also and found the same, my liner is thrown in a junk box in the attic. But I do like the jacket in the summer it was great.

I bought a similar H-D jacket a couple of years ago - same basic design.  Had a basic mesh jacket with vinyl panels that zipped on and off of the body and arms.  I think it was called transformer or transition, or something like that.  Anyway, it had the same rain liner in the pouch, attached by velcro to the inside back.  Very odd.  I figured it was only there for storage while in the closet, and not while wearing it.  I also thought it was strange to have the waterproof liner on the inside of the jacket.  The outer materials are not water resistant by any stretch and gets saturated very quickly, so I improvised.  I carry the pouch & liner in the saddlebag with the rest of my rain gear, and wear it on the outside of the jacket if necessary.  Works pretty good.  Also, have used it many times on the inside as a wind breaker on colder mornings, and it makes a huge difference.
