Temp controller alternative
« on: November 02, 2006, 12:55:35 PM »

Has anyone used the permanent mount controller yet?

I haven't looked in the fairing yet, but it looks like it could be a good alternative to having the controller hanging on a pocket.

Have a riding buddy that has a permanent mount controler in the dash of his ultra.  I just couldn't bring myself to drill holes in the inner fairing.  It doesn't look bad at all.

I haven't looked at my heated gear but I see the gear now has a single plug, doesn't the older stuff have a double plug like a battery tender?

Single or double plug where Rog?  Mine is a single plug out of the jacket to attach to the bike for power to the system.  The multiple plug is inside the jacket for the controller to attach to.  If you've only got a serial connection there too it's just a single control.  If you've got parallel plugs there you'll be setup for the dual controller.

I believe Gerbing sells a component that converts the old style to new style connector
