Hey, Lilb...is that a longer strap for the camera? Longer than the usual one that comes with a point and shoot that just attaches to the wrist and has a about 8" of strap?

Is that a strap for the camera or a leash for me???

Whichever one works!

Seriously though, we bought one of the lanyards (not like the pic - sorry) that has a really nice adjustable strap to keep it secure on the wrist.  Martha uses it from the back seat all the time.  No more fear of dropping the camera. Now if I can just figure out how to keep her finger from covering the lens!

You must make contact with Nikki (Bret's better half - bgregston) - while in Nelson you would swear she was double jointed at the waist with her photographic capabilities.  She employed the binford 1000 camera strap.

Sorry I'm so late posting pics of our mountain trip, but, I think most of you know how it is when you come back to work after taking a couple of days off!  :'(

Judy and I left Augusta late Wednesday afternoon and spent the first night in Helen, GA.

Thursday we took back roads into SC to Hwy 11, left on Hwy 276 thru Cesar's Head, across the Blue Ridge Park Way, stopped at the HD dealer in Waynesville then to Maggie's Valley.  For you guys  planning on going to MV later this year you will notice two major changes.  First, Ghost Town has opened back up.  Second (caused by #1) there are kids everywhere!!

Friday we rode the Parkway to Hwy 441, turned left on Little River Rd to Cades Cove.  If you're panning a trip to this area don't ride thru Cades Cove on the weekend, traffic is bumper to bumper any your bike WILL run hot!  Weekdays are great!  From there we took back roads to Shiloh Motor Hotel http://www.shilohmotorhotel.com/  just outside of Sevierville TN.  If you have a group ridding in this area and need a place to stay, give them a try  Great place!  Six bedrooms, pool table, full kitchen, fireplace, dish TV, stereo, deck with hot tub, grill and rocking chairs.  It's in the middle of nowhere and all for $50 a night!   :2vrolijk_21:

Saturday we took back roads to Hwy 321, turned right on Foothills Parkway then left on Hwy 129 to Deals Gap.  Good day to ride the Gap, not a lot of traffic and NO RAIN!  Left there and rode the Cherohala Skyway to Tellico Plains, then back roads back to Helen GA.

Our daughter met us in Helen for dinner and shopping with her Mom.  Me, I waited for them at Hans' a small restaurant with outside tables and cold beer!

Sunday we left for home!

Overall a great trip, only about one hour of light rain and of course no 100 degree days!
