Some aren't thinking. If it was my store I would put a price on it and sell it. It's all standard production stuff except maybe the paint. Makes no sense to tag a high price on a bike like that, run the miles up and then unload it when the next model year comes out.

Sounds like the sales guy was just being a jerk.

The GM should get his ego in check or should get fired.  Customizing a bike like that is dumb enough, adding miles is really stupid.

may not be the gm.  at my 'local' dealer, when the 2012 cvo rg came out, the owner snagged a hold of it, customized it some (though not to the extent of the op), and rode it for a couple of months.  sure, it was 'for sale' the whole time, but who wants to pay msrp, + addons for a daily rider?

Over Priced=No Question! Some things I like= yes, AC, pipes. Some things I don't like= Green, copy cat/similar graphics, rear fender being way lower than the saddlebags. Will someone be dumb enough to buy it= Sadly probably YES.  :nixweiss:

Local dealer has a 2013 Road Glide Ultra with a bunch of accessories bolted onto it.  They're asking well over $30k for it.  It's been sitting there for a loooong time...

You do the same, I live very close to Brighton HD, actually we live on a lake.  A lot of motorcyles on the roads around us, if you ever come up, PM me and I can show you some good riding.  I used to buy my bikes at American HD in Ann Arbor, same owners, they closed the store and the guy that used to run it was a great guy.  I guess the guy that they hired to take his place and run Brighton was a manager at a Ford Dealership and so is the service manager.  I went there a while ago for an fluid change, I do it every fall and spring.  Obviously my oil is clean in April if I just had it done in October?  We'll the technician saw that and didn't replace the oil filter but charged me for one.  I caught it because it had water spots on it from the last time I washed the bike and busted them!  I will never go back after that.
