All, with the chopped 'crash bar' on the 19 SERG any suggestions on Highway Pegs that might work? Also note, short legs.
-
Mine is an 18 but same chopped guard. I went with Kuryakyn mounts which were a great fit. We experienced awful quality issues with HD mounts on my girlfriends bike.

I use the HD Billet Engine Guard Footpeg Mount but I really don’t like them. I’m going to the Ciro3d frame mounted highway peg mount.
-
The hd ones work for me.
-
Thank You, do you recall what part #?
-
Thank You, never heard of them till now, great web site.

I used the HD short angle pegs, they also make a long version.

Those kury mounts look great in black. The Harley chrome doesn't last very long before they start to pit and the chrome falls off. Stuart. :'(

When do you think you will install the Ciro's? I called them because my dealership was concerned with clearance on our floorboards being Defiance collection, Cero said some grinding might be needed, so curius how it works for you.

i've heard just the opposite. guess it all depends on who you talk to. though, i'm not convinced that kury doesn't make them for hd, they are exactly the same

I'm trying to do the same but, for some reasons, the CVO pegs which I bought do not seem to fit well the ciro 3d bracket... In particular, they don't stay up (despite using the clip which come with the ciro 3d), nor do they fold up vertically, when I pull them up. Which CVO pegs (part number) are you using exactly?
Many thanks in advance!
-
I installed the Ciro 3D highway peg mounts on my ‘19 CVO Mako with no issues at all. There were no clearance issue with the floorboards, but the Ciro company said some have some issues while others do not. They were referring to th Defiance collection.
I used the factory passenger pegs as highway pegs. They folded up correctly and would stay up when needed.
Make sure you have them mounted so the rounded part of the foot peg is mounted toward the top. If not they will not fold up correctly.

love my CIRO 3D
every thing works as said
had to grind a little off right floor board and touched up with a little paint . it underneath so will never see
much cleaner look
-
While they look real nice, don't they hit when cornering hard? Looks like they would hit before the floor boards would.
-
My thoughts exactly Dave... That’s the reason why I will not use them... I already throw sparks through the Corners...
-
i don't think they'll hit.
-
Looks like they are lower or closer to the ground then the floor boards. If thats the case they will hit. The floor boards will hit and have hit.
-
They look great!!!! BUT definitely will not work for me..
-
I've had them on my bike for two years I've never hit them

Did you ever scrape your floor boards prior to installing them? Many riders never drag their floor boards, but there are some riders that do scrape their floor boards and some that do it often.
-
Yes I do scrape my floorboards not as much as some but I've never caught the ciro highway mounts

i guess i should have worded it that they do not sit any lower than the stock mounts. i can't see that they would hit before the rear floorboard mounts, or other hard parts.

Thanks. That clears it up a lot.

Please forgive me as this could be one of those times when the angle of a picture is misleading but....if the floorboard marked by the red arrow can scrape in corners how can the ciro bracket (which appears to be a couple inches lower) marked by the green arrow not scrape?
-
Don't the floorboards usually drag/scrape toward the rear which are lower than the front?

someone would have to show me cause i've never seen it done that someone was able to scrape the front of the floorboard without having hit the hard mount of the rear of the floorboards first.
-
The rear definitely Always hits first due to the angle of the floor boards.... I ordered the Ciro Highway pegs yesterday for my bike, I ride very hard... I will keep everyone updated on my results if they scrape or not ...
-
Very good point and I agree now that I think about it. Mine has always scraped at the rear. :2vrolijk_21:
