Replace the lifters?

(1/3) > >>

Big Time:
Head Quarters "recommends" replacing the lifters with any cam change. But how necessary is it? I have the SE lifters w/ 16,000 mi on them. Don't really want to change them if I don't have to.

jdracing:
Well, if they're like automotive applications, they really do get mated to their cam lobes on break-in, and I'd always opt to replace them with the cams.

syclone:
They are roller lifters. So as long as the roller has no nicks or marks , they nor the new cams could care less.  Use your lifters.
