Finally got the seat installed and went for a ride. First thing I noticed was the seat definitely sits me lower than my heated hammock, which is a good thing because my knees are now bent and I can have both feet flat on the ground. I've got short legs (28 inch inseam) so that is nice. It also is easier for me to throw my leg over the bike. It sits me, kind of, like the seat on my Road King. Janet climbed on the back and she thinks I'm now low enough that she can see over my shoulders. That's something she always complained about. The negative is I'm going to have to buy a shorter windshield.
I wasn't able to do a long ride but the seat seems very comfortable and it definitely got noticeably cool. I'm going to get the IR camera from work and I'll post a temp shot as soon as I can.
The seat doesn't exactly match the CVO hammock or the tourpak backrest but it's pretty close. I let a few of my very fussy friends look at it and they didn't notice the difference until I pointed it out.
I took this picture before I rode off so if you want other views, let me know and I'll try to get you want you're looking for. I'm not a great photographer but I'll do my best.
I'll try to get out for a couple hundred mile run this weekend and, if I can, I'll let you know how the seat does on a longer ride.
So far, I'm very impressed with this seat and plan to leave it on the bike. I'll let you know if that changes.
