I know this topic has been discussed in many threads, but not much to our bikes. I am thinking of buying one of the jagg fan cooler and trying to see if it will fit and what needs to be done. I figure I have all winter, but wanted to see if someone had already figured this out and I would just be wasting my time. Thanks in advance.

I'm using the softail cooler on my bike there our pics here on the forum

That one does not have a fan, I am looking for something that has a fan. It gets really hot in Texas and there's plenty to stop and go traffic and plenty of low speed riding to be done. I was hoping for something that sat down low as I don't want something hanging off of the tubes.

Henry you have a couple of options here if you dont want the cooler mounted on the down tubes
1 oilbud cooler
2 jims fans it mounts on the horns side of motor ..not really a oil cooler but it does cool off the heads
3 one of those reuseable finned oil filter housing cooler .. i think fueling has them on there website
btw i mounted a fan on mine ... also alot of these cooler dont need a fan the low air pressure makes air flow thru the cooler
hope this helps ya some

Marv Beals at Jagg told me that Jagg plans to have a fan assisted oil cooler for Softail models soon...maybe by this years end...

This is what I am looking for, as most of my concerns are during low speed traffic.

if i was a guessing man i would think it would mount on our down tubes cause we dont have enough ground clearance on our bikes

We have plenty of room, down low behind the front tire.

Here is a copy of the email I got from the guy at Jagg:
"Thanks for your patience with my delayed reply. I am currently working on a fan-assisted oil cooler kit for the Softail. It will mount a bit different than the Touring models. It is designed to mount on the left frame tube in the direct air flow but will also have a high-performance fan integrated. I expect to have this item ready by the end of the year. Stay tuned to www.jagg.com for further details.
Sincerely,
Marv Beals

thanks for sharing the email :2vrolijk_21:
with only 3.7inch's of ground clearance we dont have room down low behind front tire

What I mean is like the way the touring cooler is mounted.
