I'm really REALLY disappointed!  I thought they'd come out with the Street Glide in red since they discontinued the Red Hot Sunglo (Terriez color) on the Street Glide.  Instead we get an Ultra that looks like Pumpkin and an Ultra that looks like a combination of the Blue Jester and Emmet-Glide (Miker's nickname for the Silver/Blue Ultra).  The copper/gold two-tone is nice paint but why?  They have the anniversary colors left over everywhere.  Yea, it's a little different color "rootbeer" but it doesn't jump right out and grab you like the 2004 or 2005 SEEG!  Maybe I will change my mind when I see one in person but at this point the best looking one is the orange Ultra and I don't need a bike that big!

I'm in total agreement, a 2004-2005 is when custom vehicle operations was CUSTOM VEHICLE OPERATIONS! It meant something, just not the same. Didn't even put the tourpak latches they stole from us on the ultra?

I'll be interested in looking @ the blue SG but so far it hasn't "grabbed" me. I was hoping it wouldn't so I'm not really disappointed!  :D

I don't get why they only did the SERG for 09 as many as I've seen on the road. Oh well.

My prediction is all the Pumpkin owners will upgrade to the NEW Pumpkin Ultra.  That is the best looking one of the bunch!  I'm seriously bummed!!  I get to go get my deposit back now BEFORE the dealer even announces colors!!

I bet the distressed look seat on the Fat Bob makes it's way to the Convertible. I'm just saying.
Other than the Street Gilde that many here expressed an interest in, I do not see anything that jumps out. Like V said, the colors leave a lot to be desired. I do like the SE head on the tank as a nice touch. One problem they have had over the last couple of years is the ability of differentiating between the CVO line and the run of the mill stock bike.

Really really don't like the painted cowbells over the chrome legs on the Street Glide.  Generall ambivalent about most of the rest of it (that's all it earned).  But those cowbells aren't a good look at all.

The SEUC and SESG are still just more variations on the theme of the SEEG paint scheme.  Every year since you've been able to see that as the foundation.  How little can they change it and still claim it as different.  Granted, that was a striking look.  But do something new....

Really liked the look of the brown saddle on that Fatbob though :huepfenlol2: .

Yeah, that was the 1st thing I saw that I didn't like.  You can't beat a all chrome front end for a lot of reasons.  From what I see so far it just reinforces my happiness with the SEEG.  :-* har!  spyder

I was hooked when I rode Terriez 09 six months ago......it was the frame, rear tire, handling and ABS.......that's when I put a deposit down on the 2010.  As I posted in a number of places on this forum, I was hoping they'd put the 09 SERG tail section on a batwing fairing......then I found out that was happening for sure.

Granted, the colors just don't jump out at me like they did in 04 and 05 (at least not on the internet.....haven't saw them in person yet) and I'm just not sure why the MoCo struggles with that.  The SESG isn't ugly but they could have done better.  But it's not the paint that attracted me......it's the bike.  So I may be able to suck it up and live with the paint.

Funny thing.........I'm the first one to tell somebody "you don't buy a car (or truck) because of the paint......you buy it because it's the car (or truck) that you want".

Having said all that..........on my computer the Spiced Rum shows two different colors on the HD web site......so which color is it really?  This one?  (which looks kind of a dark red)   http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Content/Pages/2010_Motorcycles/2010_motorcycles.html?locale=en_US&locale=en_US&bmLocale=en_US#/model/flhxse/gallery   Or this one?   (which looks like a brown)  http://www.harley-davidson.com/en_US/Content/Pages/2010_Motorcycles/2010_motorcycles.html?locale=en_US&locale=en_US&bmLocale=en_US#/model/flhxse/gallery

Well, JC, you gotta get one.....it's just the choice between the Rum & Concord Blue (for me it would be anyway).  But, you won't know until you see them in the flesh.....then you'll know immediately which colors fit that scooter better.  I like it (but not good enough to trade the Huckleberry).  har!  spyder

In my mind they just can't achieve the magic and beauty of the 04-05 SEEG. Yes tech has improved as JC states but I must be a paint man because as much as I wanted to like the new ones, they really bore me and even though I said they saved me 37K, I am disappointed.

Deposit given and now just going to wait, in the mean time 07 FLHRSE3 15200 miles for sale, oh wait it will have more miles once I get back from Sturgis, Recall issue handled by dealer last fall. ZERO issues otherwise, not a scratch on her, razor red.

Let's see...ignoring our 100th anniversary SED

We have had a 2004 CVO SEEG, a 2006 CVO Ultra and a 2008 CVO Ultra.... looks like I am due for a 2010 to hold pattern...sure wish the SERG was an option...if Anne did not want a trike yet, I think I could have convinced her it would have been a great weekender...not so sure about the SESG.  Although one color stands out to me...

Thanks Brian......that's the one that I was hoping is closer to the real deal.

Sold on the mechanical advances (new frame, rear wheel, ABS, etc.) but still not sold on the colors.  Now I'm caught up in the mental battle of a SESG or get a regular Street Glide and put my own changes on it (like I did Terrie's).  Of course I'd be able to save about 10k doing it that way......but then it wouldn't be a CVO. :nixweiss:

When they came out with the Teal SEEG it seemed like everybody thought they were butt ugly.......but they still sold every one they made.  I think they'll sell every CVO they make.......just that the sales will slow from what they were years gone buy, but they will sell.  And it doesn't matter what color they are, they'll all still be welcomed to the CVO GTGs and thank God we don't all like the same thing and have individualism.  If we didn't, that'd truely be a boring world.

The 2010 CVO SG is much more expensive than my 09 SG (even with all the changes I made to it).  The 09's 2-1-2 exhaust flows great for my purposes (didn't care for the 2010 SG "lost one muffler" look).  I went with the stage II 103 with 255 cams and love the performance (much better than a 110 that keeps sprouting oil leaks)... Glad i went with the 09 instead of waiting for 2010s. I have quick detach tourpac, pass backrest, and choice of two racks, 103 motor, passenger floorboards, rider adj backrest, and everything else I wanted on the SG for less than the 2010 CVO SG that doesn't have most of the options I added (for less money)...

Yes, the 09 and 2010 have many advances in handling design, worth an upgrade for sure... probably plenty of 09s on showroom floors to get a deal on too... Nothing in the 2010 lineup that I can't live without... Now if my wife will just shutup about wanting a trike...

Anyone else notice the stage II 103 is no longer available for a 2010 SG? For that matter, the SE catalog is now mostly tools?

The 2010 CVO Ultra has the standard air line shock system.  The new FLHXSE has a new hydraulic rear shock with a hand adjustable pre-load.  I used it and was not too fond of it.  Time will tell if buyers like it.

Have you actually ridden an '09 Chief? While they may have some idiosyncrasies, I wouldn't dismiss them in general. The only thing they "clone" may be the Springfield or Gilroy in looks. But it ends there. Baker Transmission and brand new Power Plus 105 engine are a far cry from a clone.

Why was Indian on a street corner in downtown Denver begging H-D dealers to become Indian dealers?
Because if you're smart you drop your bait where the fish are collected :nixweiss: .

Harley has no one to compete with!!!

Market share patterns over the last few years seem to suggest otherwise.  Demographic modeling show those trends will only continue working against them if they don't do more that is far different than they so far have proved they know how to do.  Just because they're still the biggest dog on the domestic block in no suggests others aren't biting at their ass.  Good luck with the dealership Jason.  But it really doesn't look like HD has fair winds and following seas behind it for the next few years.

This is one of the reasons I think the MoCo will make the 103 motor stock before long.

While all of you are galking over the new CVO models, I personally think the Ultra Classic Limited is one sharp looking bike. I actually like it better than the CVO Ultra. Best thing is, you could buy that, SAVE a bunch of money, and still ride out with a smile on your face. I like it.. 8)

What were they thinking of when they chose these colors? The so called flames look terrible!!! I agree with others, just saved me $30K on a new Street Glide. If you look at the non-CVO Street Glides, they don't even have a blue in the lineup. No wonder sales are off. The motor company has lost touch with the riders.

So much for hoping that the 2010 models would boost sales... and thus the stock price...  :furious3:

I don't know how far back they start planning this stuff but with the economy in the dump you would have thought they'd have come out with something with a lot more "pop"...  :vrolijk_24:

What's up with the aversion to Chrome!?!?  Not digging the wheels on the SESG at all...  :smilie_daumenneg:

gotta think the custom paint shop will be busy this year. otherwise it`s black, blue, silver or red. i do like the cvo ultras though.
think the limited is a good deal, if custom colors are available

A great big giant yawn. Nothing of any interest in the 2010 CVO line up but I'm not real surprised. Thank you MoCo, you just saved me 37K, again.

Yip............agree there. Looks like the Street Glide picked up about 50 lbs, and the $30K without tour-pak, etc., awful looking wheels, and painted forks just don't do it for me. Have a deposit down, but will have to see what the Tequila Hangover color looks like in person. Dealer said looks like September sometime, if MOCO doesn't screw things up with the plant closures, lay-offs etc. Maybe 2011???

Don't think so. The new lambda EFI will meet specs for a few years to come.
