If you are ever in the area and have the time to stop, it is well worth it.  Very educational and filled with memories that every free minded person should view.

Finally I leave the Museum with thought of these core values and do they exist in our young people today?  I hope so!

My next stop would be my home for the next several days.  Washington DC.  Here I would take in a few activities prior to Rolling Thunder.

The Smithsonian’s Arts & Industries Building is the second oldest Smithsonian building.  It was constructed between 1879 and 1881 to meet the need for more exhibition space.

Wait a minute!  Did I just read that correctly?  Three years to construct in the 1800’s!  #e!! we cannot build anything in three years if the government is involved now-a-days and we have far more technology and labor available.  WTH!

The Washington Monument was built between 1848 and 1884 as a tribute to George Washington's military leadership from 1775-1783 during the American Revolution. Its construction took place in two major phases, 1848-56, and 1876-84--a lack of funds, political turmoil, and uncertainty about the survival of the American Union caused the intermittent hiatus.
