140 MPH Crash
« on: April 20, 2009, 10:04:20 AM »

As some of you know my son raced in the WEAR race series until one of his team mates was killed last year in Savannah GA.  He now works on Team Velocity's pit crew.  They were in Jennings FL this weekend and one of his team mates, Zac Chapman went down at approx 140 mph on his GSXR 1000. He walked away without a scratch!  His bike wasn't so lucky!

Thanks for posting Tommy. Obviously,  the main reason you can survive a crash at those speeds is being on a closed course w/o anything to slide into and all the safety gear.  Usually not that lucky off the track in a fall.  spyder

The famous Suzuki head rip...

They dont take crashes well... they split right after the welds.

At least the rider is OK, and even has a sense of humor about it....  :2vrolijk_21:
