Title: Stock SEEG Cams

I was wondering what the stock cams were that came in the '04 & '05 SEEG's ?

The stock cams were the SE253.  See attachment for specs, click on it for full size.

I have a Nanner, and I wonder if there is a cam that I should be changing to when I do the cam chest update.  I like to be able to roll on the throttle at 2k and normally ride at 2900, with bursts up to 4500.  Any thoughts?

Yep Zippers makes a great replacement for the stock 103's. Make sure you change lifters and cam bearings. You may also want to upgrade the oil pump while you are in there.

Also check the cam tensioners while there.  It's not pretty if they fail

There are many on the site who used the Zipper's Red Shift 575 cams with good results.  Just be aware that they currently list the same cam for late model bikes, and you will need the 2006 and earlier version to fit a SEEG.  The inner cam bearing journals are a different size on the 2007 and later engines.

Good point Jerry. But he stated he was doing an update. I would only hope the update is to the 2006 and later cam plate. That is why I mentioned the oil pump.

There are a couple ways to do the update.  One comes as a kit and uses the old style cam plate with the new style hydraulic chain tensioners, in which case you still use the old style cams.  The other method is the one I used, using the 2007 and later stock cam plate and what is called conversion cams.  In other words, the inner cam bearing journals are set up for the old size bearings, but the rest of the cam is made for the 2007 and later setup.  With either choice, I fully agree with you and highly recommend changing the oil pump to the latest version.
