Bright light from those 5 watters will burn out the muffler bearings.  Might even cause cavitation in the water pump.  Be careful.
OK, so now you're funnin with me!

Not to mention Radio Frequency channel interferencewith the Screamin Turboencapsulator  may occur during solar flareups! Let's be careful out there! :orange:

How 'bout strapping one of them thar coal miner lights to your helmet. Saves all that work opening the fairing. More visibility for the cages also.

Thats mighty fancy.

Duct taping a Maglight flashlight to your helmet works as well plus it aides in spotting armadillos (speed bumps) at night.

Do you suppose the reason H-D went with the little 3 watt bulbs that don't allow you to actually read the gauges in the dark has anything to do with the fact that they know perfectly well the gauges are basically useless anyway?  I occassionally think about converting two of the gauges to tweeters, and the other two to fresh air ducts.  Hell, we've got the idiot lights for anything important like no oil pressure, and with enough practice you can get pretty good at estimating fuel levels with the ol' "slosh" test.  What more do you need? ::)

My fuel gage works fine - very predictable...first 75 miles uses no gas at all  :huepfenjump3:  :2vrolijk_21: (what a deal with today's prices), next 75 miles uses all my fuel  ???(WTF?) - yellow warning light comes on (danger Will Robinson -  panic!!) but (only in the shade or at night - warning light seemingly not needed in daylight hours) - stop for gas and fill up to be pleasantly surprised that I had a gallon left after all and could have actually gotten where I was going without stopping! ;D

True story - I saw an 03' Ultra with a professional looking plaque on the dash that said "Harley-Davidson gauges are for entertainment purposes only".

I just went thru the whole dash bulb thing. Tried the colored glass bulbs but thought they looked kinda pinkish compared to the stock speedo and tack gauge lights. Ended with 194 bulbs and red condoms. Next time around I think I'll try the LED kit from
 http://www.ridetimetechnology.com/instrument_lights.htm
I have their tail light kit too. Great kit..

I forgot to ask in my earlier post - do the fuel gauge's still fog up on cool or cold days?  Every 03 Ultra I ever saw or talked with owners had this problem.  Ride the bike for an hour and the "problem" went away.  Do the 07's still do this?

Ride Safe.

I also lost the light to my fuel gauge on my '06 USE.  -Got a replacement for 75 cents at my local auto store.  -The Harley dealer in Sioux Falls sold me two bulbs for almost 7 bucks.  They were the wrong ones!  -Of course it only took him a half hour on the computer to find these bulbs.  Also, because of my radio problems, Black Hills HD installed a new speedo to fix the problem.  However, they created another problem.  Now my automatic volume controll no longer works.  I fixed this problem by trading my melon, or should I say lemon, in.  Yes, I've re-entered the HD lottery!!  -Wish me luck boys, I sure could use some.  -Steve
