RIDING CENTRAL, NORTH CENTRAL MISSOURI
« on: July 27, 2006, 12:49:24 PM »

I've got a ride planned for next week and would like some advice.  I'm going up to the Sturgis area (from the Memphis area) and I have taken I-70 from St. Louis to Kansas City and hit I-29 to go north.  I'm wondering about taking US63 north at Columbia and then hitting US36 at Macon and taking it west to I-29 at St. Joe.  Any opinions, suggestions?

Looking at my latest Rand McNally seems to indicate that most of the US highway route would be four lane divided highway.  I just wondered if there's more to the story than I see on the map.

I never did get a report from anyone, but took the US63 / US36 route from Columbia to St. Joseph, MO.  These are good roads and a nice alternative to the maze around Kansas City.  I just thought that I'd report as I have been there and done that.
