2016 CVO streetglide front suspension
« on: November 03, 2016, 09:31:30 AM »

I'm thinking about an upgrade to my front suspension. I already added pro action rear shocks which are working out nicely. I put the HD dual premium cartridge kit in my 2013 ultra and liked the handling but it rode really rough over the bumps. I live in NH, we have a lot of road imperfections and I live on a dirt road. Looking for feed back on upgrades that tighten up the front end handling wise but still take the bumps well. My biggest issue with the stock set up is settling low in turns and feeling a little mushy on mid turn bumps. I am 320lbs and ride solo 80% of the time. I'm pretty happy with the pro action shocks in the rear but I stayed with 12 inch and on bigger bumps they still hit hard sometimes. Thoughts?

BTW, I was 375 lbs when I first did the rear Ohlin's (Howard's #6's) on my 12 Roadglide and the difference in ride was night and day. They didn't make the front Ohlin's at that time so went with the HD premium cartridges. Since then I have switched to the front Ohlins and though it definitely made a big difference, not even close as much as changing the rears.
Good luck
