Did not find the stock bars too bad for my 6'2" frame.  Guess I have longer legs than arms for my size.  Just to see how I like it I went in this weekend removed the pin and rolled them up forward just short of my Freedon Shield when at full lock.  Rode about 30 minutes and decided I did not like it that far foward so went back and pulled back about halfway between that location and stock pinned location.  Have not adjusted the rotation on the controls yet.  What started this was I had to pull the speedo/tach cover to install an Aux power switch so thought why not try a different bar location.  Yes that tab under the fork lock cover is very flimsy.

Ya'll have me sweating!! I pick up my 16 RG CVO Ultra in two weeks. I'm 6'1" 201 lbs and prior to purchase I didn't feel handle bar problems so a few miles will tell...
What is with this "pin" everyone is talking about and the "removal" at delivery?
I have always had the Ultra's, from 2012 back to 1983 so this RG will be interesting. It's good to get back on the CVO Forum!!

The new redesigned road glide 15 and newer have a pin in the handle bar clamp area.  It really restricts how far you can rotate the bars.  I got the first 15 CVO delivered at my dealership in Sept of 14.  At 6'1" the bars were way to close to my lap.  I had them pull the pin, and we rotated the bars up so they were in a more comfortable position for me.  The regular Road Glides have the same pin plus on for each handle bar grip.

Once rotated I liked the height of the bar and the reach.  However I did not like the grip angle so I am running factory 47 14" bars, really like them.

Here's a pix of it. You can see it in the middle of the bottom clamp.

So Dave, I have the same issue with mr stock ‘15 bars, height is good after pulling the pin and rotating forward, but wrist angle is not good - is that the pullback dimension in the specs. Do the Factory 47s have less pullback than the stock RGU bars?

I think the pullback was about the same.  I liked the Factory 47 much better, better width and much better grip angle.  I Traded that bike in Sept 2016 with 44K on it.

Sorry to bring up such an old thread... I've looked at the F47 website and the Signature bars say not for '15 CVO RG Ultra. I guess you must have had the Malo bars, which it appears they have discontinued. As I mentioned up above, I'm happy w/stock height - were you're 14" bars about the same height as stock? or would I need to go down to 12" to be about the same as stock? My main complaint is the grip angle, which I thought was equivalent to pull back. I was just looking again at their website for a phone # so I could call and discuss, but they don't put a number out there. Will keep looking.
Thanks again for the reply.

I believe the 12" would be closer to stock hight.  Stock is 10" if I remember correct, My bet if the 12" were like my 14" bars, then an inch sorter than that in reality.

Check out KSTkustoms.com bars.  They are great to work with.

Thanks, that's good info. I looked again at the F47 website and it appears the Malo bars were for pre-Rushmore bikes. I called them and talked to the receptionist, who couldn't answer why the Signatures didn't fit the 2015-17 bikes and said a tech would call me... haven't heard back from them.
I'll look at the KSTKustoms bars as suggested by JRBish (thanks for the tip)

I went with the yaffe 14"on my 16 cvo ultra road glide. I'm pretty sure they would work on the 15. All the stock wiring and cables worked. I'm 6ft 3. Very happy with my choice.  Stuart.

I am switching from a 17 SG to a 19 RG which just came in. I run Yaffe's on my SG and woke up in the middle of the night last Sat in a panic realizing the bars would not switch over with every other mod I am switching. On Sunday I went online and saw that Yaffe's have been backordered for months. I am 6.2 (used to be 6.3..) and the stock bars kill my back so I didn't know what I was going to do. Went to this and a couple of other forums and saw where many were liking the F47's even more than the Yaffe's so went to their website and they were backordered also in 14 inch which is what I need. Monday morning I went on a mission to try and find Yaffe's in someones inventory and got the same story from all that they have been backordered forever and though Yaffe says will be available in early to mid Oct everyone I talked to told me not to count on it. I then tried calling F47 and they said they were backordered for 6 weeks. I asked them if anyone might have them in stock and she gave me a list of about 5 dealers in SoCal including the dealer about a mile away. I called them and bingo, 1 set of gloss black 14 Signatures that they had been holding for someone for a very long time and they said if I came in they would sell them to me. I had never even seen them in person (that I paid attention to) so I ran down there. They happened to have a RG in service with those bars on that I got to sit on and not only did they feel great, I absolutely love the meatier look of the 1.5 diameter. When I was paying for them I asked why they show different bars for the 16-17 CVO and parts mgr said they have been installing F47 on bikes for years including 16-17 CVO RG's and he had always ordered same bars but thought maybe the tech had to pull the pins on those years. When I was there they had a few new bikes in stock that they had put F47 12 inch bars on so think he knew what he was talking about.

Do you have the Yaffe's on your Maple? Reason I ask is the Dave had a '15 like mine and went with the F47 instead of the Yaffe's due to back order situation back then. He has said that the F47 seem to be shorter than the Yaffe's although both are sold as 14". Was looking for another comparison or measurement done side by side.

I have Wild One Reapers on that bike. I like them but want glossy black on this bike. If I hadn't found the F47's I was thinking about getting them and powder coating.  Very comfortable bars.
