05/04/03 Marlborough MA - Albany NY and back
« on: May 05, 2003, 11:29:42 AM »

Started the morning with temps in the low 40s as we left Rt20 and took some back roads to Rt62, from there we picked up Rt85 and headed north to Rt117 this took us west to Rt190 and then to Rt2. from there we followed Rt2 west through the Berkshire mountains the views were spectacular unfortunatley i have misplaced my camera [smiley=nervous.gif] or i would have taken pictures to share with you all. we stayed on Rt2 for about 100 miles before crossing into NY by now the weather was better temps in the low 60s we stopped for lunch in Troy NY at a resteraunt called "The Styx", while enjoying a break from riding we saw bike after bike after bike coming through a near by intersection ( Rt351 ). before we left i asked our waitress where it went. she told us we could follow Rt351 to Rt43 which would bring us to Albany NY, she said that we could pick up Rt90 from there. Rt90 is a.k.a. The New York Throughway and when it crosses into MA it becomes the MA Turnpike.
