« on: December 29, 2009, 09:40:12 AM »

What RPM's are most of you seeing at idle?  Mine seems high at 1,000.

Thanks

on my '07 SEUC, the idle varies between 900-1100 (w/ SE Race Tuner - 211 cams, Bub7 pipes & AC)

Beware of too slow an idle, you want SOME oil pressure when hot!
Yours sounds just about right.

Thanks everyone, I guess I was just used to more lope with a carburetor model.

EFI HD's need to idle at about 1k  - nature of the beast.  Carb bikes can be idled VERY low, sounds good, but no oil pressure is not so good.

Stock, once warmed up, little under 1000.  Much better than my 08 FLHTCU, that varied between 1000 and 2500  :confused5:

Yes it is, loved that lope, I could get her down to were she sounded like an old Johnny Popper.  I have to agree on the oil pressure when warm though the old Evo sometimes scared the crap out of me.

:pepper: Roxanne is between 900 and 1050 before and after the cams. Sounds good to me though.
