I would be arriving to my next destination in the early afternoon to visit with some friends and enjoy Bricktown!

The “nineteen” is not so visibly seen here and the place was hoppin’.

That evening I would be forced to make a decision regarding my next stop as there was some real bad weather forecasted.  Possible tornadoes and at least heavy winds.  The morning would determine the outcome.

Day Fourteen | Oklahoma City, OK – Memphis, TN

Today would be a late start as I was attempting to determine my decision regarding the next stop.  Late enough to enjoy a lunch a Toby Keith’s I Love This Bar!

As you would expect, this place has a nice stage for live performances…

A bar, of course, filled with plenty of booze, tv and trouble… but NO “nineteen” evidence here!

It does matter if you are a Toby Keith fan or not, the place has character and the food ain’t bad either.  In reality, Toby Keith does not own this place but he licenses his name and trademarks here.

Now back to my decision.  I was to head to Eureka Springs, AK, since I could not make the gathering this year.  I had the Route 66 room reserved at the motel we visited and the krewe stayed.  However, that was not to happen.

The odds were not in my favor and the risk was too high considering the potential forecast.  I normally will always take the chance but I head was saying not this time.

Instead I’ll have a Freddy’s concrete and enjoy his company.

In the end, now that it has pasted, I believe I would have been ok.  Oh well, Next Time.

My arrival time into Memphis would be dark 30 PM and by the time I got my stuff into the room – BAM!  Asleep.

After a late start with a breakfast of champions at yes, The Waffle House, I began the final leg of my voyage.  No “nineteen”.
