Just got word that my bike finally showed up at the dealership! Earlier than I expected too! Now I really wish it wasn't 30 degrees outside. Hopefully will get it home by Saturday.

It's going to be pretty hard not riding it home. It's about 90 miles and I don't think it's supposed to be over 30 Saturday. You can bet that the first nice day I'm calling in sick to work,

Great looking bike. Congrats.

Well, I'll try, but here in Iowa we haven't been having a lot of sun lately and it will probably be snowing when I trailer it home. :(

Old bike sold...check. New bike brought home...tomorrow!
-
New bike is home! Drove the last 30 miles home with it in the trailer on snow covered roads. At least I got to ride it a mile or so at the dealership before I put it in the trailer!
-
Congratulations dcotting. What a gorgeous motor. You must be so pleased with yourself. You're in very exclusive company so keep us updated as you modify your ride so that the crest of us can enjoy the ride through your stories. I personally get much of my inspiration from guys like you.
Awesome motorbike. Just awesome.
-
Awesome and congrats!!! A little ride is better than no ride!!
-
Nice one...
You'll be pacing up and down now waiting for the snow to melt, here's to you :drink:

Glad you brought her home. How nice you got a small ride in. I got to see mine today but she had to stay couldn't ride her home. HC Mercury is mine the Ultraviolet Blue is my brother's. We can't wait to get a ride in.
-
I have to say, the more I see this HC Mercury in person, the more I like the color. It just glistens in the light and is better than I thought it would be. Pictures just don't do it justice.

Nice! I feel the same way about the Indigo Blue. It just POPS in the sun and pics just can't capture this quality!
-
Congrats FS23, I'm sure it killed ya a bit not taking it home! DC, cool vids thanks for posting. I stopped at the dealer yesterday to get an update on the delivery of my HC Merc. They have a black one scheduled to come in next week, dealer is shopping it trying to get a HC in, its not looking good. If that doesn't happen might not see it until after February.

Sitting in the garage looking at my Silver Streak and wondering why we have 5 inches of snow on the ground...oh yeah, I live in Minnesota. The more I become familiar with my bike the more I like the color and the engineering. It is a great bike in stock form. Did put my highway pegs on, (they are the passenger pegs put on extensions) so all the pegs match. Not cheap, but look correct. I was going to order a Corbin solo seat, but am holding off as the stock seat works well for trips of 200 miles or less. Anything more than that and I will take my GSA with the Corbin seat and back rest. Still debating running lights as I do like the uncluttered look of the front end. Decided that if I keep the bike, rather than trade it for a 2016 SG I might start putting farkles on it. Have a standing deposit with selling dealer incase HD comes out with a bike I can't be without. For now however this bike does everything I want a bike to do. Congrats on your bike. Now just wish for an early spring! Spook

Thanks for the pickkys in the sunshine, looking darn good kid.

Nice Shots! Looks familiar!

Nice Bike Firehouse! Personally I don't think pictures do this years paint justice. Initially I was deciding on your color and my color. I made my decision at the Street Vibrations rally where I was able to see and talk to two owners who had my color (UV Blue/Lava). I made my mind up then. I actually had a deposit on the Hard Candy. I believe I would have been satisfied with three of this years colors. The yellow and black is just not for me. I am looking forward to seeing the hard candy in person. Awesome!
-
The pics look great. It will be nice to see the flake in the sun riding down some back road enjoying the ride. Come on spring time.
-
Are the turn signal lights on the front LED?
-
No they are not. Just regular Harley bulbs from MOCO. But I put in the Custom Hynamics Halo led. No load equalizer needed the BCM learns it on 14 and 15 models.
-
Rode another 130 miles Saturday since it was over 50. Had a ton of sand and salt I had to wash off when I got home though.
-
Got some Custom Dynamics LED lights for front signals. Act as white driving lights until you turn on the signals.

How do you like the Custom Dynamics LED front signal lights? Huge difference when driving at night?

Best and cheapest mod by far. (http://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/15/01/09/5a04b8560d51b964e2b591cd6c0b6692.jpg)

Thanks! Did you purchase direct if you don't mind me asking? Link if possible so I make sure I order the right thing.
Thanks again
-
I haven't really noticed a big difference, but I was used to having spot lamps on my ultra . I also have not put on many miles at night yet.

Here is a link to the lights from Custom Dynamics.
Dynamic Ringz™ Driving Lights & Turn Signals

I had them on my 11 CVO SG. They look great with a LED headlight and are highly visible during the day and night to oncoming vehicles. They provide additional light coverage while riding at night but not enough to get very excited about.
