Pashnit is a really cool site.  I've been going back to it many times over the years and drooling.

I really can't remember too many bad roads in CA except for in the bigger cities.

I've sure spent a LOT of time out there over the years exploring, JC, and it's hard to beat that state for variety and just drop dead scenery, but the pace of life here in the Ozarks is hard to beat!
