What are your favorite motorcycle mags?
« on: August 23, 2005, 11:52:51 PM »

I've been a subscriber to American Iron for close to 4 years now.  It doesn't seem like it's as good a read as it used to be (too many customs and not enough tech or touring-related articles for me) so I'm looking to replace it with something else.

What are some of your favorites and why?

I have enjoyed Hot Bike & Street Chopper, especially since Randall Ball, took over the helm.  Unfortunately, he is stepping down again.

Last Hot Bike had a review of new Street Glide...the Cobalt Blue looks awesome in the pics.

I agree that American Iron seems to be getting bigger by the issue, but has less content also.

I saw that one.  It also had a great article on the Wheels Through Time museum.

Motorcycle Escape...It helps you pick and plan trips or just enjoy the stories of bike trips for those times you cant ride.

American Rider...good all around magizine for average rider. If you dont like the magazine that has a 100k bike ,that wont get rid much, every three pages...you will probably like this one.

AMERICAN RIDER......is by far my favorite.  I subscribe to quite a few.  AR is the only magazine where when I write to the editor via email.......I get a reply every time and it's from Buzz, the editor.

He's gone on to give this web site blanket authorization to quote or reprint here, any of their articles as long as we give them the credit for the article.

When I first got my SEEG (100 years ago, now) I wrote to AR and to four other magazines asking for some exhaust comparisons and performance tech articles on the 103" motor.  Well, it seems that AR is the only magazine that even read my letter.  They printed several articles or tech tips now and the exhaust comparrison.  So, that is the magazine for me......they are responsive to our needs as daily riders.

This Motorcycle Escape magazine sounds like my kind of reading. Anyone got a link so I can subscribe? I did a Google search but don't think I found the right place.  [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]

No, not the same magazine.  But from the same publisher.
