No, I'm as screwed up as you are.  I'm already thinking about ripping off the perfectly good chrome doo-dad emblem to replace it with the new Screamin Eagle thingie.  We're all sick bastards......

I think I've got you all beat . . . . . . . . . I'm thinking about buying a pumpkin so I can have something to put the orange and black emblems on.  [smiley=nervous.gif]

This place rocks!!! Ok, so I'm at dealship today to do my "Black Friday" shopping and to take advantage of the discounts they were offering to HOG chapter members. So I go in with my wish list all printed out, and had hand written the above emblem. I had forgot to write the part number down, just figured that they (dealership) would know about it. Guess what??? They hadn't heard about it, when they tried to find it in their "new" items catalog it wasn't there. So I asked the guy at parts counter you got Internet access on your computer there? He replied yes, I walk behind the counter and bring up "our"  [smiley=huepfenjump3.gif] favorite website and bring him to this thread to get part number. Well he gets the number puts it in his system, and lo and behold he doesn't even have it listed.  :'( Being the faithful  [smiley=pumpkin.gif] owner that I am, you can imagine my disappointment. However he is going to ask the person that is in charge of getting their inventory on parts to get some of these, but that doesn't help me any for the sale. Oh, and BTW I did pull a 20% off discount out of the bag (they had 15 - 40% that were available), so I was happy with that. Would have spent more if I had gotten the 40%, but can't complain I'll take whatever I can get.

I got a pumpkin, you got an emblem? If for some reason you don't get a pumpkin, and my dealership doesn't get the emblems I want first right of refusal on that emblem, deal?

Jim, nice picture.  The emblem is on a catalog.  It's in the 2005 parts holiday guide, page 14 item, D.  It's the new thin catalog w/ a cutomized Deluxe w/ a white wintery background.

Just had to ask the dealer WHY they didn't order a bunch of these?  they knew I would take a few.  Wonder how long it will take to get here.  Don't think it is a VIN # protected part though.

I knew I had seen this item in catalog, and thought it was in this particular one. When I was at dealer yesterday I looked and couldn’t find it, thought I had seen it by itself like picture posted above. It slipped by me being mounted on sissy bar. Thanks a lot for confirming my sanity.  ;D

Mines on the way [smiley=xyxthumbs.gif]
I figured I'd go over my warranty to see when I need to get the extended warranty going which is coming up real fast,  :o [smiley=nervous.gif] close to 2k for the whole deal with wheel and tire coverage to boot. Whatcha gonna do?? need to keep that 103 protected. I still held off till Jan.
