Grand Canyon to Yosemite Route?
« on: July 23, 2010, 05:02:34 PM »

What is the best way to ride from Grand Canyon on the south side to Yosemite?  Also, what can you do in Yosemite?

How much time do you have and where do you go after Yosemite?  We have done that ride before more or less since we lived in CA & NV.

The best way? Head north to Bryce Canyon and Zion National Park. From there, head west towards Las Vegas with detours through the Valley of Fire and Hoover Dam. From there, head west through Death Valley, then north to Tioga Pass. I hope you're not in a hurry. Something like this... http://tinyurl.com/28y2t53

That is the route I would take, but with a detour to page and glen canyon reservoir and lees ferry on the bottom of the damn there. That is a some great scenery that I wouldn't miss if I was in that area
