Biker Battleground Phoenix on History Channel
« on: July 01, 2014, 07:50:14 AM »

Starts tonight at 10:00 PM... set your Tivo/DVR or watch it live...

History Channel is also announcing a new reality show named “Biker Battleground Phoenix” to debut Tuesday, July 1 at 10 pm ET/PT. The series follow 5 builders in Phoenix competing in a biker build-off to build the most outrageous Bagger. The 5 builders are; Paul Yaffe (Baggers Nation), John Shope (Dirty Birds Concepts), Len Edmonson who moved from Canada to Phoenix to be in the show (Azzkikr Customs), Kody McNew (Voodoo Customs) and Brian Jenkins (Hatred Customs) Expect ultra-radical baggers with the latest in giant front wheels, spectacular metal fabrication, flashy paint jobs and plenty of digital infotainment. And if you like drama and a fully scripted TV “reality” show with a lot of bragging from all builders, bad boy attitude and made-for-tv insults between competitors, I promise you are going to enjoy… At least some of you. Below a few highlights of the way the History Channel is introducing “Biker Battleground Phoenix” - See more at: http://cyrilhuzeblog.com/2014/05/09/biker-battleground-phoenix-a-new-extreme-bagger-build-off-tv-series-to-premiere-on-history-channel-july-1-at-10-pm-etpt/#sthash.kmKD7G9F.dpuf

I'm not a big fan of the big wheels but interested in what other innovations may be present on some of the builds.... got to look past the big wheels and you might find something of intereset on one of the bikes. :nixweiss:

Anyone watching this show?

I thought Shope was playing to the camera when he trashed the 2014 Indian.

Paul Yaffe seems to be a class act.

I was surprised when McNew missed the dead line for his Daytona build...figured it was going to be like all the other builds and come in just under the wire.

Not sure what Edmondson deal is....with $900 million in the bank....and playing in this arena and tries to hire jenkins.

I'm not hooked on the show yet...hope it doesn't end up as a copy of American Chopper.

Hopefully, they will build some bikes that are meant to be ridden and not just garage queens.

I watched the first episode and was tired of the drama in the first 15 minutes.  I did watch to the end because I was hoping it would get better, ended up being disappointed.

let us know if it gets better, but I won't be watching unless the drop the BS.

I am still watching as well.  Not one of the best shows on tv.  Will watch a few more episodes and see what happens.  Don't think I will by any parts from Paul.

I had a burger and a few beers at "The Hideway Bar" in Cave Creek today (that's where they filmed part of the show).  It appears to be a great biker bar, really cold beer and excellent food.

Still watching (it is about motorcycles :)) I'm not a big Yaffe fan but I do like the SRT bike he did...

Like that he's getting away from the "big" front wheels (in a way) and back to a more (IMO) traditional look to a bagger.

This week's episode was the unveiling of John Shope's (Dirty Bird Concepts) Indian Chieftan rebuild...

More images available here

It was said he invested 300k of his money in the development/production of these parts with the hope of selling them to Chieftain owners and recouping 500k in six months. :nixweiss:

I'm not overly attracted to the "Indian" look and it will be interesting to those that are how well these parts/modifications take off. IMO I think those that are attracted to the Indian look are attracted because of the traditional look of them. Time will tell.... :-\
