Looking for a comfy seat for a summer trip to Canada. Been looking at a Harley Hammock but don't want to raise the seat height much if any. Can anyone help me here?
Thanks,
Glide Boy

If I were you I would look at other aftermarket seats and forget about the hammock seat. I hate mine, it cups my boyz and tries to shove them back inside my body, at least that is what it feels like. I have a small arse and it just doesn't fit me right. I know some larger folks that really like the hammock seat though. Try a few others before you decide is my advice.

There are two different Hammock seats. The one that came on the 2011 ultra or the SERGU is a dual Hammock rider and passenger heated Hammock seat. Its not that comfortable. The original/first Hammock seat is a riders only Hammock seat. It moves you back from the tank about an inch. I bought another one of these and used it till I got the Corbin. Its a much more comfortable seat. Not as nice as my Corbin dual tour, which is a 1,00 mile a day seat for me. Butt pretty good for a Harley Davidson factory made seat.

I have the 2011 FLTRUSE with the heated hammock seat, I just did 4900+ miles in 2 weeks with no problems. My wife has her 2009 FLTRSEI, she is 5' 4" and liked the feel of my seat, she put the exact same seat on her bike and loves it. We've had the Corbins, you have to make sure they are built to fit, otherwise they are a very hard, uncomfortable seat for long rides.

I'm not that comfortable on the Hammock Seat on my Ultra. Besides, it's not a good looking seat, especially the passenger pillion. I liked the Corbin I had on my last bike much better. It felt like it would be too firm at first, but it was very comfortable on long rides.

I just picked up a used heated Hammock Rider and Psgr seat. Seem okay so far, but haven't put a lot of miles on it yet.
I actually think it's a good looking seat for a 2 up all out touring seat- the design/materials look good, and it's not as high profile and bulky looking as most of the others.
