Title: GTS Boom is missing ambient air temperature?
Post by: Tony Smith on June 23, 2019, 06:30:45 AM
Just started logging some miles on my 19 CVO SG and I’ve cant seem to find the ambient air temperature reading. I used to have it on my 17 CVO SG nav screen.  Anyone know how to find it on the new GTS Boom system?

I found the i this morning and there it was, air temp and elevation. That’s new.

I don’t see a way to get the temp into the left or right lower panel on the nav screen. This was an option on the 17.

Its still an option on the 19 to get in in either the right or left lower screen.  I believe you can select the lower screen you want it in, highlight it orange, then enter.  then scroll though the choices.

There are MANY options you can choose for the right and left info windows, current speed, speed limit, sunset time (how stupid is that one), time to next turn, time to via, time to finish, distance to finish, temperature, the ONLY FREAKING option they left off was DISTANCE TO NEXT TURN to one we need THE MOST. Freaking geniuses. SHFH

Cool. I’ll play with my options tonight.

Yeah, clearly the engineer that designed that feature was one of those, 1000 mile a year garage queen  Harley types

A long time ago (by site standards) the analog ambient air temp gauge picked up the nickname "rain gauge" at least partly due to its "necessity" and accuracy for someone actually riding out in that same air.  With the weather information availability the bikes actually can report the rain  :huepfenlol2: !
