Title: This is how we roll in Pittsburgh
Post by: 1abastarsmda on November 11, 2012, 12:49:59 AM
I'd say the 4 of us are the core of our riding group and I think that all of us having Screamin' Eagle Ultras keeps our bond strong and makes us even closer friends.  Even the slightest change to our bikes grabs the others interest.

We are all members of the CVOHarley forum. From right to left:

Nick (SaintNick06) on a 2013 SEUC Anniversary Edition
Me - Dave (1abastarsmda) on a 2012 SEUC
Mickey (don't know his screenname) on a 2011.5 SEUC
Ted (tedcarnut) on a 2012 SEUC

The few times I've crossed the border to your city I wasn't keen about the "in town" riding although it can be as challenging as some of the country roads over here in Ohio.
I'd like to get over to your area some day and explore some of the country riding that I'm sure is great.

Great pix and a lot of money in that parking lot.

Just when I think we've run out of roads to ride on, we find more.  It never ceases to amaze me when we ride forever with no civilization in sight and we find a huge, beautiful estate out in the middle of BFE.

Where you guys out near Mt Pleasant this past Sunday?
I passed a group of riders coming out of ruffsdale late in the day.
Last guy had a black and orange like yours and mine.
Just wondering.

On Sunday, I think the closest we were to there was Uniontown, and we arrived there from the south, and then headed back home on 51 North.  Plus, I was leading the group, so it sounds like there must have been another on in the area.  Either way, I'm kind of surprised that we haven't crossed paths somewhere along the line.  We do ride through Mt Pleasant on a pretty regular basis.

Great group.  Very familiar with Monroeville.  Father born and raised in Pittsburgh area, I forgot the exact town but I remember Squirl Hill, the area was dominated by Italians.  As a kid I used to go to Pittsburgh all the time, my relatives lived in the Homestead area, my one Uncle was the Chief of Police and President of the local FOP from North Braddock when it was clean....many years ago!  I remember going to Kennywood as a kid during the summer and my other uncle had a cottage in Somerset.  Pittsburgh is a great place, Pennsylvania has some great riding.  Never been there in the winter, still can't figure out how you guys navigate those hills with snow?

Yea, must have been.
Well, now we know there at least 3 Black and orange bikes in the area.  HA
Get all my bikes at Z&M, how bout you?
I am sure we will run into each other some time as I am on the bike every minute I can.
I am a instructor at Rosedale Tech in Pittsburgh and ride to work every day possible, so I am sure we have passed each other at one time or another.

I've purchased all of my bikes at Hot Metal.  I think I'm still a member of the Latrobe HOG, but I never make it to any meetings for either chapter I'm in.  I'm usually at the office too late to even consider getting there on time.  I seem to end up at Z&M or M&M Leather on a lot of weekends, so I imagine we'll likely cross paths one of these days.  Looking forward to it.

Cool to see some guys from the 'burgh in here! I wouldn't mind hookin up with some of u sometime. I have a hard time trying to find anyone that likes to ride without sitting on a barstool all day. I got my bike to ride, not barhop! I have nothing against stopping for a drink, but I like to sit in the saddle more than on a stool.

A friend of mine just bought an orange/black one too.  He bought the one that Kim's husband was riding (Kim from Z&M).  He picked it up with about 8000 miles on it.  So I don't know if that one was in your count or not.

Thanks dave, I got your pm & still trying to figure out how to send back to u.

Click on a screenname on the left side of the page where it shows the pic of your bike and your location, etc.  That will take you to that person's page and scroll to around the bottom of the page where it says "Additional Information".  Click on "Send this member a personal message".  From there, I don't think you can go wrong.

Also, in the e-mail that you receive for a PM, there is a link at the bottom on the e-mail you receive that you just click on to reply to the PM.
