I agree but as Steve was, I'm just trying to help. Are you wanting help or just posting to rant? Nothing wrong with either and I don't blame you for being upset. I'm just not sure what anybody can do to help you.

DEI, that is what I used. Started out black and now almost white.

DEI also makes a ceramic type rattle can of spray paint that is good to make them black again. I have used it on customers bikes who have wanted their faded wrap to be black again. It actually seems to work better as far as staying black than the wrap itself, FWIW.

Most all of the colored wrap starts life as white, the natural color of the material. They all fade as they age from what I have seen. A little high heat black paint seems to work as good as anything else for getting the color back for a period of time, if that is what your looking for.

My fat cat on my 96 didn't do it, either does the borezilla on my 124. Guess I got lucky. The heat shield does hit the S&S cam plate cover though. I'm kind of wishing I had a quiet exhaust since I've been firing my bike up at 0430 hrs and probably pissing my neighbors off
