The new paint color labled " denim"   I mean I like the satin black look on the Street Bob, but this paint looks like the forgot to clear coat it after the color coat flashed   IMO  - - - - - - - what's yours ?

Yeah, I saw a denim silver Street Glide last weekend.  Supposedly, the denim black was such a hit last year that now they have added blue and silver.  I think it has a certain "industrial" bare-bones look to it that's kinda kewl.  I probably wouldn't buy one in one of those colors, but it's sorta neat to see.

Can't wax it, can only wash with soap and water.

I was at the shop today and they have one.  Not my cup of tea, but some guy was in there going nuts over it.

To each his own I guess.  Not much on the army colored bike I saw there either.

Not particularly my cup of tea either (you'll know how I like shiny stuff ), but wasn't this a common concept/color for scooters back in the day? [smiley=nixweiss.gif] For some reason I believe I've seen this done before.

I haven't seen the new versions of the "denim" yet, but my opinion of the black denim was and is NO WAY JOSE!  It looks like someone forgot the clear, or they buffed it all off.  Flat black looks good on certain things, usually chassis parts or even engine and exhaust parts, but my tins have to be shiny.  IMHO, it will be much harder to clean (polish and wax are definitely not recommended), so try not to park under any birds.

Yeah, saw it at the dealer.  To each his own... like spiking your hair, piercing your nose, etc... if YOU like it, that's what matters.  I'd end up trying to polish it out. We got cars down here with that finish, usually red Town Cars (old) and Camarays.  Suede.

I think that I've seen it in black, silver, and blue.  I sort of liked the silver, but agree that I like the gloss on a bike better.

Yeah, we saw one of the silver and one of the denim on Street Glides at the local dealer last weekend.  Unique, but definitely not my thing.  I like shiney stuff!  It's real different though, so they will appeal to somebody just because of that.  Maybe there easy to keep clean, but looks to me like it might be difficult.  Wonder if they have a matte finish clear on them, or just no clear at all?  Didn't feel like anything but primer... Yep.  Flat/Satin black on something like a '32 ford hot rod is one thing.  Me, I think bikes look better shiny.

That's what I was told.  Clear-coated, just not a glossy finish.
