Doc Baileys and inner fairings
« on: February 08, 2013, 04:58:27 PM »

I know that CVOs have painted inner fairings, but if anyone has that flat black inner fairing here is a tip for those sun bleached inner fairings.  I had a 2009 Street Glide when I was in Phoenix, the sun bleached my inner fairing.  I used Doc Bailey leather conditioner (it must have some kind of stain in it as well).  I put it on the inner fairing, carefully, using a small piece of applcator sponge and let it dry.  After it dried the inner fairing looked brand new, nice and black.  It held up all year and din't have to reapply.  When I washed the bike, I just hosed the inner fairing and then patted it dry, or used my blow dryer to get rid of the water, the inner fairing stayed nice and black.

Doc Bailey's is awesome.  Kinda like WD-40 - thousands of uses.   :2vrolijk_21:

I used Doc Bailey's on my wife's GT500 drivers seat and steering wheel cover and they look brand new. None of the other seats have ever been sat in including the passanger seat. Now the drivers seat looks as good as the others.   :2vrolijk_21:
