You mention the pager, but did you also get the..

H-D® Security System Smart Siren II

Security and convenience in one. The Harley-Davidson® Smart Siren II combines the functionality of the smart siren and pager transmitter into one easy-to-install unit. Featuring a built in back-up power supply, the siren and transmitter functions will continue to operate even if the wires are cut or the vehicle battery is disconnected. When combined with the Pager Receiver II (sold separately), the integrated FM transmitter can warn of tampering up to 1/2 mile away. Smart Siren II features an enhanced sound chamber, a redesigned internal battery access cover, and ultra low power consumption during the standby mode. When activated, the Security System Fob arm and disarm commands are confirmed with blink feature, and '07-later models can be programmed to emit a chirp. Smart Siren II is certified for use in North America.

If you didn't get the above too then unless something has changed the stock (H-D® Factory Security System Smart Siren Kit) alarm system will not work with the remote pager.

Stupid me! I assumed that my $36,000.00 rolling piece of art came with it. The guys at the dealership said that I was good to go!

Somebody w/a '10 will be able to clarify, but I'm pretty sure it didn't come with the Siren II from factory.

Ok, let us know how it works out. If you want to look at the alarm on your bike now to see if it has an antenna on it to transmit to the pager then you are good to go... no antenna... no Siren II stock.

My '10 FLSTSE did not come with it. It was an easy install and does work well if that's any consolation.

Yes you need both. Remember H-D really stands for Hundred Dollars, as in you can't get away from the parts counter for any less.  :P

The '10's do not come with it. You will need to add the Smart Siren II. Follow the instructions because the antenna can't touch the frame or the range will be greatly reduced. They supply 2 pieces of velcro to mount it...1 goes on the frame and you put the antenna on it, then the 2nd piece of velcro.

Okay, so here is the "rest of the story". The 2010 ultra cvo has a audible siren module which is identical to the siren ll, with one exception. The siren ll has the antennae and will pair up with the pager transmitter. Very easy install. Under the left sidecover is the fuse block and snapped in next to it is the siren module. Pull out the maxi-fuse, otherwise the alarm will go off when it is disconnected. Unplug the siren module, plug in the siren ll to the same plug, snap it back in and fasten the wire antennae along the frame with the supplied velcro. Piece of cake and the pager transmitter programmed the first time.

I bought a used FLHTCUSE3 and it came with the H-D Security System Pager Receiver II and was working. Battery died and I repalced it but I don't know how to marry it back to the bike. He didn't give me a manual for it. Also, if I change the Smart FOB battery, will does it automatically reconnect?

From the instruction manual..

2007 and Later Models (Hands Free FOB):

1. Ensure that the motorcycle ignition switch is turned to the OFF position.

2. Ensure pager receiver is turned OFF.

3. Press and hold the pager receiver button (D). The pager receiver will flash and vibrate to indicate it is in the ON mode. Continue to hold the button until the LED indicators begin to flash one after another and the receiver begins to beep once every two seconds. The pager receiver is now in the encoding mode.

Note: The encoding mode will time out after beeping five times. If it times out repeat Steps 2 and 3.

4. Quickly turn the motorcycle ignition switch to the ON position, then back to the OFF position. Within several seconds, the pager receiver will indicate that it has been successfully encoded by beeping four times.

5. To verify that the pager receiver has been successfully encoded disarm the security system by turning the motorcycle ignition switch to the ON position. Then quickly turn the ignition switch back to the OFF position to arm the security system. The left LED indicator (A) will begin to flash to indicate that it is receiving the Range Confirmation Signal (RCS). It may take up to 60 seconds for the indicator to begin flashing.

You're welcome. :2vrolijk_21:

Regarding your Smart FOB marrying that bike to your bike after a battery change should be covered in the owners manual (at least it is in mine for my SEEG).
