Looking for camera holder
« on: March 13, 2010, 09:52:50 PM »

Has anyone seen a duflachee that would work on the gas tank or handlebars to hold a small digital camera? Someone had a magnetic cup holder that looked like it might work. I like to take pics while riding of scenery, but hate to go into my jacket or vest pocket to get the camera each time. It would be more convenient (and safer) to be able to grab the camera from somewhere up front and then put the camera back.  Any ideas?

I keep mine hanging around my neck (quick and easy to get to) with a nylon tether.

I use the Desert Iron Images CM05 grip and like it a lot:

It is a high quality Manfrotto grip with an adapter made by Desert Iron that mounts on your clutch level bracket.

i keep a small digital camera in my w/s bag and always pull to the side of the road in a safe place to take my pictures.
i don't want to preach to the choir, but a camera distracts a driver as much as a cell phone and we all know biker's feelings on that subject.
use your own discretion but be carefull. :soapbox:

Nothing...beats Ram Mount products.  They also make a bolt that screws into you brake resivior mount with a ball on the end to eliminate connections.

I am trying to find the link but had a nice mount on my 02 Ultra that worked on the holes where the mirrors had mounted (I put fairing mount mirrors on).  It worked great!!  I would mount my video camera on it and got some incredible footage thru Deals Gap and Tail of the Dragon, it also picked up the music coming from my speakers so had video to music...........If I can't find the link I will go find the part in the garage box and look at the name on it.  I have decided not to mount it on my Road Glide.

Other members have searched for good camera mounts before.  None better than JR though :2vrolijk_21: .
