yes its the HD

Looking forward to your posts of some videos. :2vrolijk_21:

A lot of the sport bike riders use them over on the Pashnit forum.  You'd think a lot more touring riders would have them.  Having said that, I still don't have one. :nixweiss:

Naitram, I got mine at SEMA last year .Also got the bar mount kit  which allows me to mount the camera to my crash bar . I normally mount mine on the right side of the bike. Have only taken 3 videos so far File sizes get huge fast !! 15 mins is 2 GB !

I'll look for pics of mine mounted.

Glad you bit the bullet and bought one.

I've been researching these to death.  I want to get the GoPro HD, but they've said they are coming out with a Backpac LCD that will let you "see" what you're recording to setup the point and shoot direction.  It was supposed to hit in March and now it's almost August and still no LCD Backpac.  They also said they would have a H/D battery Backpac that snaps to the rear bus as well.

I've also been looking at the Contour by Vholdr.  I actually like it a little better but the mic on them sucks the big one; anything over about 5 mph and all you hear is wind noise.  But they are a bit more looks friendly and offer the same HD resolution and is water resistant, but not water proof like the GoPro.

I think the view angle on the GoPro HD is 127 or 135 degrees.  This is a narrower view angle than their standard camera and gives less "fisheye" affect on the video.

I read early on that the thumb screws on the GoPro mount is not that good and even with pliers they tend to loosen up.  The one review I read many months ago the guy said he had to use some other mount to get it to hold.  I'm sure by now though that they have that kink worked out.

Please post when you have something.  I'm looking forward to your report.
