Thanks for the info.  That is a great price...congrats!

But...that sounds like a 660 price.

It was 999.99 at local dealer.

It was 883.00 at Zanotti last week.

Called Hales and ordered last week and received today at 639.00

XM just had to put me on a demo service.  They cannot find any trial period promotion nor do they see the code HARLEYxm3.

After all the people that had a problem with this you would think that they would have resolved it by now!

I think that Harley has reduced the price to the dealers, because it caused Hales to double check the price.  Maybe a new version is just around the corner and they are dumping them?

As per Rebeca: HD's price is $799.96...then the magic math.....$639.97.

I just checked Chicago HD price and it is listed at $799.00.

HD's site has it listed at $999.00.

Zanontti's has it listed for $750.15.

Looks like the price dropped $200 and it has not be updated on the HD site.

Not a 665 but a Roadtech 660.  Ordered from Rebecca at Tri-County today.  She called me "Hon" and "Dear" and "sweetie" and I got so happy and flustered I don't have any idea how much it cost....

Ok, just looked at the notes made during the phone call.  Looks like there was an as yet unpublished price drop on it also.  Still on the HD website at $750.  So 20% would be $600.  Notes from the phone call show $519.96 though.  I think I did good :drink: .

And she called me sweetie ::) .

Garmin has dropped the price from 999 to 799 so Harley had to follow with the same price reduction

Good thing Garmin took the lead on this.  I doubt that HD would have ever dropped the price unless they were forced to.

Can you believe I am still trying to get my trial 90 activation completed.  I have called 7 times.  Disconnected twice and hung up on once.  Over 95 minutes on the phone!

They all stand by their belief that there is no trial period on this devices and that the promo code HARLEYXM3 does not exists.

I explain that I would be happy to send a copy of the manual where it states the 90 trial period and they said it won't change the facts as they see them.

I mentioned other users on this forum and the difficulties many have had getting activated.

I called Harley and they said call Garmin.  I called Garmin and they said call Harley.

I know I should just stop whining and purchase a subscription which is what I will probably do.  I dislike XM and only purchased the unit for the NavWeather anyway.

With customer service like this I don't see how XM can survive this economy? :nixweiss:
