When I use my IPOD the left front speaker does not work. It works with the radio and CD. What could be wrong?

is the ipod connection secure?  i had a problem with one side dropping out and it turned out to be the 30 pin connector wasn't quite all the way connected.

How are you connecting the iPod to the bike?

Through the stock cord in the right side bag

As stated above, it's probably a bad audio cord.  To ensure this is the culprit you can do this: there should be an audio cord port on your radio's face.  You can hook the iPod to the radio thru this port using a stereo cord with two male ends.  If both speakers work, it's got to be the factory cord.

I have a similar issue and am looking for the connecting cable, Harley Part # 72651-11. I hate to buy it through HD but may have to. Any thoughts would surely be appreciated.

2013 SERG WHEN IPOD CONNECTED IN BAG OR AT RADIO LEFT SIDE SPEAKERS WOULD CUT IN AND OUT. TOOK TO DEALER THEY FIXED THEY SAID UNDER WARRANTY. THEY REPLACED HEADUNIT AND CABLE, WENT ON A RIDE TODAY AND STARTED WITH RIGHT REAR SPEAKER CUTTING OUT AND BY END OF DAY NO MUSIC AT ALL. LETS SEE WHAT THEY DO TOMORROW AT THE DEALER. HOPEFULLY NOT ANOTHER 2 WEEKS WITH NO RIDE.

My iPod works for 5 minutes the cuts out.  No music anywhere.  Is that a bad cable Too?  I have the 30 pin adaptor too.

Sounds like amps overheating and shutting off. If under factory warranty take it back. That's where I'm going today

the ipod module is suspect. if it was the amp both rears or both fronts would shut off. or the patch cable

talked with the dealer today. after new ipod module deck and patch cable and new ipod they called to tell me that the mtx speakers in my bike are not factory. i started laughing and told him to do his homework and maybe he would realize that the 2013 cvo road glide cam from factory with the h/k premium audio system which is 2 200w amps and all mtx speakers and ipod setup. they where suppose to call me back no word yet guess we will see what tomorrow brings. sad to think a dealer doesnt even know what the factory put in the bikes

Changed out my audio cable worked great for a week then one day went out and the head unit does not even show my ipod as an option.  Getting really tired of the issues, I am thinking of pulling the unit and sending it to Iron Cross Audio for the blue tooth, usb upgrade as I cannot or have not found a CVO compatible aftermarket head unit.

Jensen is supposed to be direct fit. After new head unit iPod cable iPod and interface I got the good ole don't run the avc keep bass and treble at half and it works to factory specs bullcrap from the moco. When money is available I will upgrade all stereo speakers amps etc. to bad moco won't stand behind the junk stereos they install in the bikes

 Mine did the same thing, one side went out. Dealer replaced the interface module and it has worked great since.
