Plugs
« on: November 06, 2011, 08:48:11 PM »

Was at the local dealer yesterday with a friend and picked up a set of plugs. Haven't pulled them since I got the bike in May. Pulled the boot and saw Autolites installed. 5/8 sparkplug socket too small.  Hmmmmm 11/16 to remove them..that's a first.  Installed HD 32192-10. The Autolites are P# 4164. Is this a common plug for a 2006 103?

One small detail to pay attention to when using that plug with the 11/16" hex.  If you mount head bolt bridges the socket won't go in to remove the spark plugs.  You'll have to remove the bridges every time you want to change plugs.

...............and on engines that carry at/near 190-200 psi ccp, at least here with the NGK's we use, and a couple other shops that tune, have witnessed a tick more power if the gap is snugged up to .035". :)
